Guideline of INDONESIA AWARD 2024

In commemoration of the 79th Independence Day of Indonesia Republic year 2024

A.  Objectives and Purpose :

  1. In commemoration of the 79th Independence Day of Indonesia Republic on August 17, 2024.
  2. To increase the abilities, skills and to train ORARI members in radio communication.
  3. To establish sense of kinship, strengthen brotherhood and uphold sportivity with other radio members.

B. Name and event form

Name of event : “INDONESIA AWARD 2024”.
The form of event is to perform Special Event Station :

8H79RI : Call Area 0
8H79I : Call Area 1
8H79N : Call Area 2
8H79D : Call Area 3
8H79O : Call Area 4
8I79N : Call Area 5
8I79E : Call Area 6
8I79S : Call Area 7
8I79I : Call Area 8
8I79A : Call Area 9
8I79RI : Call Area 0 to 9 particularly VHF Teresterial (ORARI District and ORARI Local)

C. Participants :

Particiipants of this event are all Indonesia Amateur Radio and abroad.

D. Time of the event :

The event begins on August 10, 2024 at 00.00 UTC (Universal Time Coordinat) until August
18, 2024 at 23.59 UTC.

E  Modes :

Phone (SSB), CW, FT8, RTTY, and Satellite (APRS).
Particularly 8I79RI only on FM and VHF Teresterial

F. Bands :

Special station will be on air in the whole amateur radio bands on HF 80M, 40M, 20M,
15M, 10M, 2M (For Satellite) and VHF Teresterial 2 M (8179Ri in particular)

G. Score points :

a. 80 M = 4 Points
b. 40 M = 1 Point
c. 20 M = 2 Points
d. 15 M = 2 Points
e. 10 M = 4 Points
f. SATELLITE = 4 Points

H. Report Exchange :

Callsign and RST.

I. Others

  1. Participants must follow the rules with good and proper communication politely and patiently if the operator doesn’t hear the participants yet.
  2. Participants have to mention complete callsign when check-in in every calling session from the operator in charge and give other participants time to check-in.
  3. Participants are not allowed to call repeatedly, once is enough in every session.
  4. Participants have to submit QSO logged with Special Event Station in adif form, through the website https://award.orari.or.id starts from August 19, 2024 at 00.00 UTC until August 25, 2024 at 23.59 UTC
  5. Participants are only allowed direct communication through radios and prohibited to use Gateway link facility from TS3 software, Echolink, eQSO and using others’ callsign.
  6. Owner and Gateway Link user and Teamspeak software, Echolink, eQSO will not be given e-QSL and e Award.
  7. If necessary Split frequency operation will be used.
  8. Participants who succeed in doing QSO will get eQSL Card and don’t have to send QSL Card.
  9. Participants who succeed in doing QSO with 10 Special Event Station (exclude 8I79RI), will get “INDONESIA AWARD 2024” in Mixed Categories : Mixed, SSB, CW, FT8, RTTY and Satellite.
  10. Participants who get the most Score (excludes Dupes), will be given a reward https://award.orari.or.id
  11. Special Event Station (exclude 8I79RI) with score above 5.000 (five thousand) from participants’ confirmed QSO will be given a reward https://award.orari.or.id
  12. Duplicate (Dupe) category for HF and VHF Teresterial is the same callsign in same band and mode, whereas in Satellite the same callsign in same satellite.
  13. ORARI District and ORARI Local which will participate to perform Special Event Station 8I79RI in VHF band are urged to register through ORARI Area in website : https://award.orari.or.id before August 6th, 2024 with Special Amateur Radio License attached in coordination with its ORARI Local.
  14. Person responsible for this event has to submit logged data in ADIF format.

Participants can download eQSL card and eAward through HEADQUARTERS’ ORARI website https://award.orari.or.id

Thereby the guideline of “INDONESIA AWARD 2024” in commemoration of 79th Independence Day of Indonesia Republic on August 17th, 2024.
